Creative Education is working on behalf of The Education and Training Foundation delivering a range of maths and English Pipeline courses for practitioners responsible for improving the outcomes of learners taking GCSE or Functional Skills courses in further education.
With technical education in the news following the Sainsbury Review, maths is once again in the spotlight. Many providers are starting or expanding their core maths provision to meet the demand for learners looking for practical Level 3 mathematics learning to support their qualification. This intensive three day course will make you completely prepared for delivering the core maths qualification.
Back by popular demand, The Education and Training Foundation has commissioned more courses of this innovative training programme that provides teachers with a wide range of practical ideas to increase learner motivation, then supports you whilst you implement these ideas in your teaching.
Despite the sector’s best efforts, recruiting suitably qualified maths and English teachers continues to be a huge challenge – so why not develop your own? This two-day course offers the complete introduction to for those who are new to teaching the qualification (GCSE or Functional Skills), as well as those who aspire to.
This practical one day course will give you a key insight into how observations can be used developmentally by managers and colleagues to improve the teaching of maths and English – both when delivered in standalone lessons and when embedded into vocational learning.
Entry Level courses are essential to motivate and provide for students who would struggle at GCSE level; or to be used as a stepping stone towards a Level 1 or 2 qualification. The practical ideas suggested in this course will be suitable for all exam boards and delegates will gain new and creative ideas on choosing options and developing an innovative curriculum to motivate pupils in developing literacy skills further.
These courses can be attended by a range of practitioners – practising English or maths teachers; teachers with a subject foundation of English or maths; and managers of English, maths or vocational learning.
